A ten-minute drive from our home base of Nanjing University of Science and Technology is the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, the memorial built in honor of the man considered the father of modern China. The memorial is built on the slopes of Mount Zijin, or Purple Mountain, and on a pretty day, the view from the top is breathtaking.
Just bring your walking shoes–it’s 392 steps to the top!
